YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Chechnya on Tuesday evening.

On August 20, Putin also visited two other North Caucasian regions of Russia: Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia, reports Tass.

The President was welcomed at Grozny Airport by the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.

The President of Russia "has an intense agenda" planned for his trip to the republic, Kadyrov said on his Telegram channel.

The last time Putin visited Chechnya was in December 2011, when he was serving as the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
