YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. Russian media reports on Tuesday claimed that 90% of Armenian brandy sold in Russia is unsafe. The Armenian oversight agency, however, hasn’t received any official letter from Russia on the matter.

TASS news agency, citing a joint study by two organizations, said that 200 samples of more than 20 brands were analyzed. As a result, 177 of 200 (89%) were found to contain non-grape alcohols.

Asked to comment, the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Agency told Armenpress that they didn’t receive any official letter in this regard.
