Plane crashes into sea during French air show

YEREVAN, AUGUST 16, ARMENPRESS. A plane has crashed into the sea during an air show in southern France as hundreds of people watched from a beach.

Local reports said the private collector’s plane was being flown as a part of the Lavandou Air Show, The Telegraph reports.

According to the source, the incident happened off the coast of Le Lavandou, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of south-eastern France.

A major search operation is currently under way to locate the pilot of the aircraft, which was used by the French Air Force from 1964 to 1980.
