Indian Council for Cultural Relations chief, Armenian ambassador discuss threats to Nagorno-Karabakh heritage

YEREVAN, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS. On August 9, the Ambassador of Armenia to India Vahagn Afyan had a meeting with the Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Kumar Tuhin, the Armenian embassy said in a readout.

“At the meeting, it was mentioned about the side event of Armenian painter Sargis Katchadourian's works depicting the murals of Ajanta caves, presented by Armenia within the framework of the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee held in New Delhi.

“Issues and initiatives related to the upcoming organization of several joint educational and cultural events were discussed.

“Reference was also made to the threats to the Armenian historical and cultural heritage of Nagorno Karabakh.”
