Third amateur swimming tournament 'Armenian Prime Minister’s Cup' to be held

YEREVAN, AUGUST 8, ARMENPRESS. The amateur swimming tournament 'Armenian Prime Minister’s Cup' will be held for the third time, on August 17, in Shoghakat (former Shorzha) village of Chambarak community of Gegharkunik region of the Republic of Armenia.

 According to the readout issued by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the tournament will be held in two age groups: the 1st age group includes women and men aged 18-40 (born in 1984-2006), and the 2nd age group includes women and men aged 41 (born in 1983) and older.

Women will compete at a distance of 1,000 meters, and men at 1,500 meters. 

According to the source, prizes are provided for participants who take 1st-10th places in two age groups: 1st place: 1,000,000 AMD, 2nd place: 500,000 AMD, 3rd place: 300,000 AMD, 4th place: 100,000 AMD, 5th-10th places: 50,000 AMD.
