Hurricane Debby reaches Florida coast

YEREVAN, AUGUST 5, ARMENPRESS. Debby has reached the Florida coast of US, according to the statement from US National Hurricane Center (NHC).

 Earlier the National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported that Debby had strengthened, with winds reaching 120 kilometers per hour.

 “Debbie has just reached the Big Bend region of Florida. Severe flooding is expected in the south-eastern United States over the next few days,” the NHC said.

 A storm warning is in effect for a stretch of coastline in the states of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
