Swedish lawmakers welcome EU Council decisions on Armenia

YEREVAN, AUGUST 5, ARMENPRESS. A group of lawmakers representing the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group in the Swedish parliament welcomed the EU Council’s decision on providing aid to Armenia and starting visa liberalization dialogue.

“We, the undersigned members of the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group in the Swedish Riksdag [parliament], welcome the decision of the EU Council and emphasize Sweden’s support for the deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership and underline the EU’s commitment to continue supporting Armenia,” reads the statement signed by Bjorn Soder, Arin Karapet, Markus Wiechel, Marlene Lund Kopparklint, Yusuf Aydin, Erik Hellsborn and Gudrun Brunegard.
