YEREVAN, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS. The process related to border delimitation in the Gegharkunik region has not yet begun. Governor of Gegharkunik region Karen Sargsyan said this in a conversation with journalists after the government session.
The governor assured that he does not know when the border delimitation process will begin in the Gegharkunik region.
“If border delimitation processes begin in Gegharkunik, they [Azerbaijan] will have to leave the territories of the Gegharkunik region occupied by them in 2021-2022. This was my comment. I am sure that demarcation means that the two countries recognize each other’s borders, and in this case they will retreat and return our territories occupied by them,” Sargsyan said.
