World Bank to provide €102 million loan to Armenia for healthcare system improvement

YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS. The Republic of Armenia and the World Bank plan to sign a loan agreement for the "Implementation of a Universal Health Insurance Program," which allocates a loan of €102 million to Armenia.

At a government meeting on July 18, First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan presented the project.

 “The purpose of the loan program is to assist the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia in introducing comprehensive health insurance, also improving the quality of primary health care, the efficiency of the country’s healthcare costs and reducing financial barriers for the population in using medical services,” Lena Nanushyan presented.
