Trump’s VP pick JD Vance formally accepts nomination

YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS. Ohio Senator JD Vance formally accepted the GOP vice presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night in Milwaukee, CNN reports.

39-year-old Vance who once was a critic of former U.S. President Donald Trump, will be his running mate.

In his speech, Vance said Trump would “put America first” and described Wednesday as a “night of hope” after the former president survived an assassination attempt last week.

Both men will kick off the campaign with their first rally on July 20 in the battleground state of Michigan, the report adds.
