Ruben Rubinyan received the Ambassador of Iran

YEREVAN, JULY 17, ARMENPRESS. Today, Deputy President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani.

According to the readout issued by the National Assembly of Armenia, welcoming the ambassador to Parliament, Ruben Rubinyan congratulated him on the successful conduct of the early presidential elections in Iran.

Referring to the recent meeting with the Speaker of the Majlis of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly highly appreciated cooperation with Iran, including in the interparliamentary format. In this context, the activities of parliamentary friendship groups were noted.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of the Armenia-Iran bilateral agenda, as well as regional stability and security.
