Armenia and Georgia sign 2024 defence cooperation plan

YEREVAN, JULY 12, ARMENPRESS. After the welcoming ceremony at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, a tête-à-tête conversation took place between the Minister of Defence of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, and the Minister of Defence of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Defence of Armenia, the tête-à-tête discussion was followed by a meeting with the extended delegations. 

During the meeting, the current level of cooperation was highly valued. Issues related to Armenia-Georgia cooperation in the field of defence and regional security were discussed. 

The parties also presented details regarding the ongoing reforms in the Armed Forces of both countries. 

At the end of the meeting, the Defence Ministers signed the 2024 cooperation plan between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Defence of Georgia.
