Tennis player Elina Avanesyan advances to the second round of Wimbledon

YEREVAN, JULY 2, ARMENPRESS.  Elina Avanesyan, a tennis player of Armenian origin, has advanced to the second round of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season.

She competed against the 47th-ranked Ukrainian, Angelina Kalinina. Avanesyan won in two sets, 6-2, 6-3, in a match that lasted about an hour.
