Iran considers Armenia's recognition of State of Palestine as courageous and positive

YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS. The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the position of the Republic of Armenia on the recognition of Palestine, considering it a courageous and positive step. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani said this in a conversation with an Armenpress journalist about Armenia’s recognition of the State of Palestine.

The ambassador noted that Iran has already expressed its position on this issue and confirmed Tehran’s principled position regarding the process of recognition of Palestine.

“You know that our principled position is: we do not recognize the infanticidal Zionist regime. Emphasizing our integrity, we welcome the position and decision taken by the Republic of Armenia to recognize Palestine and support its people. This bold and positive step taken by Armenia shows that the international community truly values ​​the rights of the Palestinian people and also opposes the violation of the rights of Palestinian men, women and children by the Zionist regime,” he said.

The Ambassador emphasized and added that those countries that support Palestine and the rights of its people are on the right side of history.

Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani also added that what is being carried out against the Palestinian people is known to everyone, however, those countries that are silent about these crimes and believe that Israel is committing all this for reasons of defense are accomplices of these crimes.
