Xi Jinping to attend the 70th Anniversary of “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence” and deliver a keynote speech

BEIJING, JUNE 26, ARMENPRESS.Commemorative events will be held in China to mark the 70th anniversary of the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence”. Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the anniversary conference and deliver an important speech, as mentioned by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Mao Ning during the briefing.
“This year marks the 70th anniversary of the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence”. Seven decades ago Chinese premier Zhou Enlai first put forward the five principles of "mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, nonaggression, noninterference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence,”said Ning.
He emphasized the fact that over the past 70 years, the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence” have been widely accepted and recognized by countries in the world and have become basic norms governing international relations and basic principles of international law.
“To promote the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence” in the new circumstances, promote a global response to the multiple crises and challenges facing the world, and respond to the calls of people around the world for peace, development and cooperation, the Chinese capital Beijing will host commemorative events to mark the 70th anniversary of the “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence,” Ning said.
The event will focus on the theme "From the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence to Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind"followed by dinner and sub-forums.
“President Xi will attend the conference and deliver a keynote speech and Chinese Premier Li Qiang will chair the conference.Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend and address a luncheon,” she added.
Former political leaders, experts and scholars, media and business representatives will be invited to attend the commemorative conference.
