YEREVAN, JUNE 22, ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine welcomed Armenia's decision to officially recognize the State of Palestine as an independent nation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine emphasized the depth of historical and fraternal relations between the Armenian and Palestinian, stressing that this recognition, which expresses the authenticity of historical relations, is in line with international law and all relevant UN resolutions.
They considered this a real contribution to peace and a practical step to support the internationally accepted “two-state” solution, as well as efforts to establish stability and peace in the Middle East, ending the Israeli occupation and obtaining the Palestinian people's right to self-determination.
