Tension rises in front of National Assembly building, resulting in injuries among protesters and policemen

YEREVAN, JUNE 12, ARMENPRESS. A clash occurred in front of the National Assembly building between protesters and police. The police implemented special measures. Consequently, there are injuries on both sides.

Narek Sargsyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said: "The situation in front of the National Assembly building is tense. The police have implemented special measures. Currently, according to general data, 70 participants in the protest have been detained. As a result of the clashes, injuries have been reported on both sides."

Sargsyan added that there is currently no clear information about the condition of the injured.
