Armenian Defense Minister meets with Chairman of the European Union Military Committee

YEREVAN, MAY 29, ARMENPRESS. On the sidelines of the Schuman Security and Defense Forum, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, on Wednesday held a meeting with the Chairman of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC), General Robert Brieger.

"The discussions focused on Armenia-EU cooperation in the defense sector. We reached an agreement to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest," the Defense Minister said on Facebook.

The Defense Minister presented the ongoing reforms within the Armenian Armed Forces.

"Additionally, regional security issues were addressed during the meetings," Papikyan said.
