The Ministry of Internal Affairs responded to the news that disaster zone's residents need food

YEREVAN, MAY 28, ARMENPRESS. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has responded to the information spread on social networks that some residents of the residential district of Haghpat Semi-Karayan and next to the Alaverdi city cemetery are forbidden and have not had food for 2 days.

Speaking to "Armenpress", the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, emphasized that no 911 calls were received from the residents of the mentioned areas. Additionally, food and basic necessities are constantly being delivered to the local residents through the use of ropes.

"Also, there is a possibility, and the rescuers can evacuate the residents of the mentioned area, but evacuation does not take place at their request. They want to stay in their homes. Please do not publish unspecified information and do not unnecessarily detract the work of rescuers," said Narek Sargsyan.
