France's Hauts-de-Seine region ready to support flood-affected Tavush: Pashinyan receives Georges Siffredi

YEREVAN, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation headed by Georges Siffredi, the President of the Hauts-de-Seine of France.

Accoding to the Prime Minister's Office, Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the visit of the delegation and emphasized the close decentralized cooperation between Armenia and France.

According to Pashinyan, this cooperation once again emphasizes Armenia's special relations with France. The Prime Minister highlighted the mutual interest in this cooperation. At the same time, the PM highly appreciated the attitude of President Emmanuel Macron and, in general, France towards Armenia.

"France is one of our primary partners, and we have great potential to deepen our active cooperation," Pashinyan said.

Initially, Georges Siffredi expressed his support for those affected by the floods in the Lori and Tavush regions. He added that France's Hauts-de-Seine region, which has a partnership with the Tavush region, is ready to provide the necessary support. The President of the Hauts-de-Seine Department emphasized the development of cooperation with the Tavush region in agriculture, agro-tourism, environmental protection, and other fields.

Prime Minister Pashinyan, for his part, thanked them for their willingness to provide support to the Tavush region and especially emphasized the importance of cooperation in the restoration of infrastructure.
