Service at Zvartnots Airport should be fully performed by Armenian border guards: Security Council Secretary

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS.Armenia's position is that the service at the "Zvartnots" international airport should be fully performed by the border guard troops of Armenia. As "Armenpress" informs, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said at a briefing with journalists.

"Armenia has a clear position on this issue and has informed the Russian Federation about it with an official letter," Grigoryan added.

When asked why such a need has arisen now, Grigoryan responded that during the period of independence, Armenia is acquiring capabilities in various directions.

''At this moment, Armenia has full capability for full control over the airport,'' he said.
