Armenia's Science and Technology Council established under Prime Minister's leadership

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. The Science and Technology Development Council of Armenia has been formed under the leadership of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hakob Arshakyan said on social media.

“The council has been established to support education in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the Republic of Armenia. It is aimed at fostering the development of applied science and technology, enhance the efficiency of state programs implemented in these specific areas, and introduce interconnected development mechanisms.

Additionally, the council is aimed at contributing to the formulation of new state programs and the development and implementation of the science and technology development strategy,” Deputy SpeakerofParliament Hakob Arshakyansaid.

"In short, it has been formed with the aim of fostering rapid scientific and technological development in Armenia and making Armenia a high-tech and industrial country,’’ Arshakyan concluded.
