Former UK Prime Minister David Cameron to head Foreign Office

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS.Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has been appointed as the country's next Foreign Secretary, according to a statement released by the office of the head of government Rishi Sunak.

"The Rt. Hon. David Cameron has been appointed Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs," the statement said. He will replace James Cleverly, who will now head the Home Office.

Cameron was elected prime minister in 2010 at the age of 44, becoming the youngest politician to hold the position since 1812. Cameron had been leader of the Conservative Party since 2005. In total, he served as head of government for six years - until 2016.
