YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. 5 political forces will be represented in the Yerevan City Council, according to preliminary data of the vote count published by the Central Electoral Commission.
Civil Contract Party, National Progress Party, Mother Armenia bloc, Public Voice Party and Republic (Hanrapetutyun) Party have garnered enough votes to overcome the threshold.
Preliminary vote count from all 475 polling stations showed the following results:
Public Voice Party – 9,68%
Civil Contract Party – 32,57%
Fair Armenia Party – 1,12%
Victory Party – 1,71%
Power of the Fatherland (Uzhy Hayrenyats) Party – 0,74%
European Party of Armenia – 1,11%
National Progress Party – 18,89%
For Social Justice Party – 0,34%
Republic Party (Hanrapetutyun) – 11,32%
United Armenia Party – 0,55%
Bright Armenia Party – 1,8%
Democratic Unity Party – 1,01%
Country of Living Party (Aprelu Yerkir) – 3,64%
Mother Armenia bloc – 15,43%
The September 17 Yerevan City Council election was marked by record-low voter turnout. Only 234,553 (28,46%) of the 824,250 eligible voters cast their ballots. None of the candidates garnered over 50% of votes.
2763 ballots were declared invalid.
