YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS. The command of the Russian peacekeeping force is conducting negotiations with the Azerbaijani side on the fact that Azerbaijan has illegally set up a checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor, ARMENPRESS reports, the Defense Ministry of Russia said in a statement.

"On April 23, 2023, as a result of unilateral and uncoordinated actions, the Azerbaijani side blocked movement through the Lachin Corridor in the territory of observation post No. 1 of Russian peacekeeping troops. The command of the peacekeeping force is conducting negotiations with the Azerbaijani side," reads the message.

Azerbaijan, once again grossly violating the provisions of the tripartite declaration of November 9, 2020, since April 23 has closed the Hakari bridge in the Lachin Corridor, illegally installing a checkpoint.
