Border situation ‘relatively stable’, says deputy defense minister

YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS. The situation on the border with Azerbaijan is “relatively stable”, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Arman Sargsyan said Monday.

“Overall the situation in our borderline is relatively stable,” he said, adding that the Defense Ministry will issue updates in the event of changes.

Speaking about the situation in the village of Tegh, he said that the information has been entirely provided and that there’s been no change in that section.

Steps are taken in the direction of engineering and reinforcement works, and increasing the combat readiness of troops, he added.
