Denmark coach Anders Bendix says European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan are ‘best I have ever seen’

YEREVAN, APRIL 19, ARMENPRESS. Denmark weightlifting team’s coach Anders Bendix has said that the 2023 EWF European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan are on the absolute top level.

“What we have seen of the city is very beautiful and the organization here is the best I have ever seen," Bendix told ARMENPRESS at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex during Day 5 of the 2023 EWF European Weightlifting Championships.

He said he’s been to 40-50 various championships all around the world and the Yerevan championships are “on the absolute top level.”

He praised the promotion, volunteers, conditions for training and hotels as “fantastic.”

“I hope you get world championships next year, I’d really enjoy to come back,” he added.

He said their goal is to get closer to Armenia and other countries that are successful in weightlifting and gain more experience in the sports.
