PM Pashinyan felicitates Syria’s Assad on national holiday, confirms readiness to support restoration process

YEREVAN, APRIL 17, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the people of Syria on the Syrian national holiday.

In a telegram sent to President al-Assad, the Armenian Prime Minister said “the Armenian-Syrian friendship coming from the depths of ages and strengthened through historical trials is the basis on which the brotherly relations of the two countries continue to develop.”

“I am convinced that Syria has sufficient strength and resilience to overcome the consequences of the devastating earthquake and other challenges faced by it. I’d like to confirm our readiness on contributing and supporting the restoration process of Syria in these difficult times for Syria. I wish you robust health and success, and to the friendly people of Syria eternal peace and welfare.”
