Parliamentary committee to hold closed discussion on security situation following Azeri attack on Armenian troops

YEREVAN, APRIL 12, ARMENPRESS. A closed discussion with the participation of representatives of the Armenian military and other relevant agencies will take place on April 13 in parliament regarding the security environment and the situation resulting from the latest Azerbaijani attack that left four Armenian troops dead and six wounded.

The offer to hold the meeting was made by the opposition Hayastan faction.

Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan said the meeting will take place in the format of a closed meeting of the parliamentary committee on defense and security affairs. All MPs will be able to participate.

On April 11, Armenian troops carrying out engineering works near the village of Tegh close to the border with Azerbaijan came under heavy gunfire in an unprovoked attack. Four Armenian soldiers were killed and six wounded.
