Border escalation has significantly declined, MoD Armenia denies use of Iranian drones

YEREVAN, APRIL 11, ARMENPRESS. The intensity of border clashes significantly declined by 19:00, ARMENPRESS was informed from MoD Armenia.

"The information about shelling in the direction of Vardenis at the moment does not correspond to the reality, the situation in the mentioned direction is relatively stable at the moment. The information spread by Azerbaijani media about the alleged use of Iranian drones by the Armenian side does not correspond to reality. There are no Iranian drones in the arsenal of the Armenian Armed Forces. We urge not to publish unverified information, to follow only official news. The Ministry of Defense will issue official reports on the situation," the Ministry said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported that the Azerbaijani armed forces used mortars in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the area of Tegh village.

"The Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue the provocation. At around 17:30, the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces used mortars in the same direction. The Armenian Armed Forces are taking necessary defensive measures. The Ministry of Defense will issue an additional message," the Ministry's press release said.
