Armenia-Germany trade surpasses $500,000,000 for the first time

YEREVAN, MARCH 2, ARMENPRESS. Trade turnover between Armenia and Germany surpassed $500,000,000 for the first time in 2022, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan has said.

He added that the figure includes 35% increase in exports and over double growth in imports.

“Imports in case of Germany are very important for us as well because most imports are the kind of products that contribute to the growth of competitiveness and productivity of the economy later on,” he said, adding that imports include construction and agricultural equipment and other industrial systems.

“In this regard, imports from Germany are highly important because we are having a qualitative change in our manufacturing, agriculture and construction,” Kerobyan added.
