Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem asks Putin’s direct mediation in opening Lachin corridor, repatriating POWs

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 6, ARMENPRESS. The Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov visited the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem on February 6 and met with Patriarch Nourhan Manougian.

During the meeting the Patriarch asked the Ambassador to relay his request to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Lachin corridor to be opened as soon as possible and prisoners of war to return to Armenia from Azerbaijan through his direct mediation, the patriarchate said in a statement.
