Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan offers condolences to people of quake-hit Syria

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 6, ARMENPRESS. Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan offered condolences to the people of Syria on the deadly earthquake.

“We were saddened by the news of the devastating earthquake and the loss of life. I express condolences and deepest sympathies to the friendly people of Syria,” Simonyan tweeted.

The Syrian Health Ministry reported a death toll of at least 237, with at least 648 other people injured by the disaster.
