Ahead of 1st Int’l Congress for Women of Influence in Iran, Armenian PM’s spouse visits Fatima Masumeh Shrine in Qom

YEREVAN, JANUARY 20, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s spouse Anna Hakobyan visited the Iranian city of Qomtogether with First Lady of Iran Jamileh Alamolhoda and her daughter Reyhaneh Raisi, Hakobyan’s office said in a press release.

Reyhaneh Raisi presented the history of the city and the Fatima Masumeh Shrine. Fatima bint Musa (commonly known as Fatima al-Ma'suma) was the daughter of the seventh Twelver Shia Imam and according to a narrative the great-granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad. She died at the age of 18. Fatima bint Musa lived around 1400 years ago.

Anna Hakobyan visited the Fatima Masumeh Shrine and the Tomb, and also the museum where exhibits include items symbolizing the Islamic revolution because the revolution began from the city of Qom.

After the visit, Hakobyan and First Lady of Iran Jamileh Alamolhoda held a meeting. The First Lady asked Hakobyan about her impressions from visiting the Shrine, and issues related to the FirstInternational CongressforWomenof Influence were discussed. Details from an expected meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi were also discussed.

Anna Hakobyan is visiting Iran to participate in the FirstInternational CongressforWomenof Influence which will be held on January 20.
