2nd Army Corps Commander Major-General Vahram Grigoryan fired

YEREVAN, JANUARY 19, ARMENPRESS. Commander of the 2nd Army Corps Major-General Vahram Grigoryan was relieved of duties.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan signed the decree on dismissing the major-general, Khachatryan’s office said. The motion to sack Major-General Grigoryan was submitted by Prime Minister Pashinyan.

The 2nd Army Corps is headquartered in Gegharkunik, the province where a fire in a military barracks killed 15 troops on January 19.

Major-General Grigoryan was commanding the 2nd Army Coprs since 2021.
