Yerevan, Tehran declared sister cities. Hrachya Sargsyan invites Alireza Zakani to Armenia

YEREVAN, JANUARY 18, ARMENPRESS. Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan, who visited the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran on an official visit, met with his counterpart from Tehran, Alireza Zakani.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Yerevan City Hall, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two capitals, Hrachya Sargsyan and Alireza Zakani noted that the potential of relations has a great prospect of development and expansion.

The formal meeting was followed by the signing ceremony of the agreement on declaring Yerevan and Tehran sister cities. Hrachya Sargsyan and Alireza Zakani also signed the working plan between the two capitals, by which the parties committed to cooperation in transport, urban development, culture, environmental protection and a number of other areas of urban economy.

Thanking him once again for the invitation and warm welcome, the Mayor of Yerevan invited Alireza Zakani to pay a visit to Yerevan.
