Russia, UAE, China are top export destinations of Armenia; trade with Cyprus grew over 211 times – statistics

YEREVAN, JANUARY 12, ARMENPRESS. Exports from Armenia grew 75,2% in 11 months compared to the previous year’s same period, with growth in nearly all exported products.

According to fresh data released by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the top export destination from Armenia is Russia, with exports in January-November 2022 totaling 2 billion 68 million 91 thousand dollars, followed by United Arab Emirates – 479 million 220,5 thousand dollars (over 7-time growth), and China – 329 million 806,9 thousand dollars (8,6% drop).

The highest export growth was to Cyprus. Exports from Armenia to Cyprus in January-November 2022 grew 211,4 times, totaling 4 million 757,6 thousand dollars, according to the Statistical Committee.

Exports to Greece grew 14,1 times, totaling 1 million 324,2 thousand dollars. Exports to Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan grew 2,7 times. Significant growth is recorded in exports to Lithuania, Georgia, Iran, UK and Korea.

Overall, products worth 2 billion 155 million 706,2 thousand dollars were exported to EEU countries, and products worth 38 million 318,3 thousand dollars to other CIS countries, and products worth 717 million 240,6 thousand dollars to EU countries.

Mineral products remain the top exported product of Armenia (929 million 101,3 thousand dollars), followed by precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals – 885 million 319,4 thousand dollars, as well as motor vehicles and equipment – 615 million 291,2 thousand dollar.
