Minister of Defense inspects winter conscription process

YEREVAN, JANUARY 9, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan and First Deputy Minister of Defense/Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Major-General Edward Asryan visited the Central Recruitment Station to inspect the ongoing process of the winter conscription for mandatory military service.

Officials in charge of the process briefed the Minister of Defense on details from the procedures of the medical examination of conscripts, as well as the draw process for assigning duty stations.

“Suren Papikyan toured the recruitment station and issued instructions for the effective and proper implementation of the entire conscription process,” the defense ministry said.

Minister Papikyan also talked with conscripts and wished them safe service.
