CSTO’s new Secretary-General Imangali Tasmagambetov officially assumes duties

YEREVAN, JANUARY 7, ARMENPRESS. The new Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov officially assumed office January 1, 2023, the organization said in a press release.

Tasmagambetov, 66, a former Kazakh prime minister and defense minister, was appointed CSTO Secretary-General during the organization’s summit in Yerevan.

Tasmagambetov is replacing Stanislav Zas of Belarus.
