Two H1N1-related deaths recorded in Armenia

YEREVAN, JANUARY 4, ARMENPRESS. Two people died in Armenia from Influenza A virus subtype H1N1, healthcare authorities announced on January 4.

“The patients who died were 35 years old. One of them had underlying diseases and had an obesity level 4, meaning, the patient was at high risk,” said Romella Abovyan, the Director of the Department of Infectious and Non-Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

She said that going to the doctor at the early stage of the flu can save lives.
