YEREVAN, JANUARY 3, ARMENPRESS. The International Chess Federation (FIDE) released the 2023 January ranking.
Two chess players from Armenia made it to the men’s list – Gabriel Sargsyan is ranked 41st, while bronze medalist of theBlitz WorldChampionship Hayk Martirosyan is 57th.
The former team Armenia chess player, GM Levon Aronian, who now represents the US, is 17th.
In the women’s ranking, Armenia’s Elina Danielyan is 35th, Mariam Mkrtchyan is 69th, Lilit Mkrtchyan is 70th and Anna Sargsyan is 85th.
