YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS. The debate of the draft statement presented by the ruling Civil Contract faction relating to the current humanitarian crisis in Nagorno Karabakh caused by Azerbaijan launched in the Parliament of Armenia.

Before the start of the discussion, secretary of the opposition Hayastan faction Artsvik Minasyan said that the draft statement of the opposition factions has been rejected in the Council of the Parliament, and now the draft of the Civil Contract faction is being discussed.

Minasyan added that it would be better not to adopt the draft statement presented by the Civil Contract faction, because, according to him, it is not in the interests of Armenia.

Secretary of the opposition “I Have the Honor” faction Tigran Abrahamyan stated that the draft statement of the Civil Contract faction is not adequate to the current military-political situation around Armenia and Artsakh.

“The statement and the approach that you are expressing, in no way prevents the impending danger, but in the same way gives a green light for Azerbaijan”, he said.

The opposition factions announced that they will not take part in the debate of the Civil Contract party’s draft statement.
