Armenian FM, EEAS Managing Director exchange views on activity of EU Monitoring Mission

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received today Michael Siebert, the European External Action ServiceManaging Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE, the Foreign Ministry said.

During the meeting the sides discussed the Armenia-EU partnership and issues relating to the regional security. They exchanged views on the activity of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia.

FM Mirzoyan presented the approaches of the Armenian side regarding the establishment of peace and stability in South Caucasus. It was stated that the militaristic rhetoric and unconstructive policy of Azerbaijan obstruct the peace efforts, and the risk of new escalation remains high.

Ararat Mirzoyan also presented the Armenia-Turkey normalization process.
