Armenian Prime Minister arrives in Tunisia for 18th Francophonie Summit

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his spouse Anna Hakobyan arrived in Tunisia to participate in the 18th Francophonie Summit.

Pashinyan and Hakobyan were welcomed by Tunisia’s Minister of Defense Imed Memmich at the Djerba airport.

During the November 19-20 summit, Tunisia will assume the presidency of the International Organisation of la Francophonie (OIF/OrganisationInternationale de la Francophonie) from Armenia. PM Pashinyan is expected to deliver a speech at the summit.

The Armenian Prime Minister will also hold a number of bilateral meetings with world leaders, the Prime Minister’s Office said.

Within the framework of the summit the participating countries and partners will present their cultural diversity at the Francophonie Village: Armenia will be represented at a pavilion titled Culture and Technology featuring the renowned Armenian rug making culture.
