Khachaturyan presents details on current security challenges in South Caucasus to former Swiss President

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan had a luncheon with former President of Switzerland Micheline Calmy-Rey, the Presidential Office said.

The meeting was also attended by Program Director of the Global Leadership Foundation Amitav Banerjee.

During the talk President Khachaturyan presented details about the current security challenges and situation in South Caucasus. He said that Armenia is committed to its position of achieving peace in the region, which, however, is meeting obstacles in the person of the regular aggressive steps of Azerbaijan.

The sides exchanged views on the Karabakh conflict, the current phase of the Armenia-Turkey dialogue and the prospects of normalizing the relations.
