Armenian Parliament Speaker receives First Deputy Chairman of Russian State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. On November 10, Speaker of Parliament of Armenia Alen SImonyan received the delegation led by First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the Russian Federal Assembly State Duma Kazbek Taysayev, the Parliament’s press service said.

Speaker Alen Simonyan especially highlighted the bilateral and multilateral active cooperation between the legislative bodies of Armenia and Russia. He underlined the necessity of holding joint meetings of the Specialized Committees and singled out their role in strengthening the parliamentary diplomacy, open dialogue and inter-personal contacts. Alen Simonyan particularly noted the spheres of cooperation, adding the need of work to be done in improving them.

At the meeting the situation created as a consequence of the Azerbaijani aggression on September 13 was touched upon.
