Gymnast Artur Davtyan’s victory in World Championships is a result of dedicated work – Gymnastics Federation chief

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. President of the Gymnastics Federation of Armenia Gagik Vanoyan says the gold medal which gymnast Artur Davtyan won in the World Gymnastics Championships is a result of a dedicated work.

“It’s not a secret that in recent years gymnastics is constantly registering good results. And all these thanks to our coaches led by Hakob Serobyan, as well as thanks to our boys who are not sparing any effort and energy. We managed to show to the whole world that hard working, dedication can lead to such glorious victories”, he said.

The President of the Federation said the works to have a new sports hall continue, there is that initiative by the government and the city hall.

“I am more than confident that we will have a gymnastics hall meeting all the international standards in 2-3 years”, he said.

Armenia’s Artur Davtyan became the latest gymnast to write his name into a nation's history books at the 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships with a stunning gold in the men's vault. The Olympic bronze medallist recorded two 15-plus scores to average at 15.050 and relegate reigning champion Carlos Yulo into the silver medal spot and become Armenia's first world gymnastics champion.
