If Azerbaijan wants to use 3 new border crossing points, Armenian side ready to accept – SRC Chairman

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. The three border crossing points at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan are almost ready, and if Azerbaijan wants to use that crossing points, the Armenian side is ready to accept, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan told reporters at a briefing.

“All the steps, which have been talked about, have been done, they have been documented, the government’s decisions have been submitted to e-draft.am, then to the Office of the Prime Minister and the three concerned agencies. Some works have also been done in these checkpoints. The border crossing points and control regimes have already been defined”, the SRC Chairman said, adding that they are waiting for a positive reaction from Azerbaijan.

Asked what dangers these processes could bring, Mr. Badasyan said: “None, what dangers is the talk about? We have stated that the agenda of unblocking is definitely an acceptable agenda for the government, and we have taken steps deriving from this. It can be said, the process has been completed. If the other side is also ready to use the services provided by such points, we are ready”.

On August 18, the Armenian authoritiessubmitteda bill on setting up border crossing points with Azerbaijan.
