'We arrived in Armenia as Armenia's friends', MEPs tell lawmakers in Yerevan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS. With their objective statements and steps the members of the European Parliament contribute to the preservation of stability in the region, Chairman of the Armenian Parliamentary Standing Committee on European Integration Affairs Arman Yeghoyan said during the meeting with MEPs Peter van Dalen, Fabio Massimo Castaldo and Lars Patrick Bergin Yerevan, the Armenian Parliament’s press service said.

MEP Peter van Dalen said they have arrived in Armenia as Armenia’s friends and are planning to visit Syunik province during their mission.

The lawmakers discussed a broad range of issues, touched upon the report on Armenia which will soon be discussed in the European Parliament, as well as the further expansion of Armenia-EU ties.

From the Armenian side the meeting was also attended by members of the Standing Committee on European Integration Affairs Arsen Torosyan and Sona Ghazaryan.
