Armenia economic activity index grows 14,1% in nine months

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. The economic activity index grew 14,1% in January-September 2022 compared to the same period of last year, official data released by the Armenian Statistical Committee showed.

Industrial output volume grew 10%, while the agricultural gross domestic output dropped 0,7%.

Construction grew 14,3%.

Trade turnover grew 14,5%.

Services grew 27,1%.

The consumer price index grew 8,6% and the industrial price index grew 4,1%.

Electric-energy production grew 16,9%.

62,5% growth was recorded in the foreign trade turnover volumes (exports grew 63,8% and imports grew 61,6%).

The Armenian dram exchange rate against the US dollar was 448,37.
